Stop the melting

Due to global warming, the massive glaciers at the poles are beginning to melt. If this continues, sea levels could rise by up to 3 meters (approximately 9.8 feet), leading to the submersion of low-lying areas. Many people will become climate refugees and be forced to move, while inland populations will become overcrowded. The melting of glaciers also has a serious impact on surrounding ecosystems. Habitat and population numbers will decrease, and there is a high risk of widespread famine and species extinction.
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is the most effective way to halt the melting of glaciers. This includes improving energy efficiency, utilizing renewable energy sources, improving public transportation, and reducing waste. Individuals can also contribute by driving less, practicing energy-saving behaviors, utilizing recycling and upcycling, and transitioning to an eco-friendly lifestyle. These small actions can be a significant step towards halting glacier melting and global warming.

The Cycle of Life

The crisis of water resources has become an urgent issue that must be tackled on a global scale due to the intertwining of various factors such as rapid population growth, climate change, and environmental destruction. We need to prevent "Day Zero," the depletion of water resources from the earth, and build a water-recycling society without regional disparities. Water is not something that should be monopolized and owned by countries or corporations. It is something that all living things on this planet need and share together. And we must not forget that our natural resources are circulating among the life on this planet.

This piece points out the dangers of environmental destruction caused by large-scale beef cattle farming and suggests reducing the use of animal products. Large-scale cattle breeding is cutting down forests and consuming large amounts of grain and water. Furthermore, the burping of ruminant cattle produces a large amount of methane gas, which is a major cause of global warming. We all need to recognize that animal products have a high environmental impact. Conservation artist Ogaro says that reducing the use of animal products is a theme that all human beings should consider in order to leave a nature-rich earth for our future children.

In deserts around the world, large amounts of groundwater are pumped up to mine rare metals such as lithium. The depletion of groundwater will cause the disappearance of oases, making it difficult for desert dwellers and other creatures to survive. Rare metals are used by those of us who use computers and other machines. What we can do now is to recycle rare metals properly.
