Endangered Species
  Sea Otter

Main Reasons for Decline
・Overhunting
・Oil spills and marine pollution

While searching for shellfish as food, sea otters unintentionally provide stimulation to seagrass, which promotes its growth. Additionally, sea otters feed on sea urchins that would otherwise overgraze on the seagrass. It has been observed that in areas where sea otters are present, seagrass, which absorbs greenhouse gases, thrives healthily.
