These works were made by cutting gourds. Iron oxide and pigments were used for the patterns, and brush painting and spraying techniques were used. The motifs of these works are rhinoceros and oxpecker. The two complement each other and coexist in symbiosis.

Conservation artist Makio Gaminero, who created these works, often uses the unique symbiotic relationships that exist in nature as themes for his artwork.
